Tree Management and Conservation

A majestic canopy of ancient Monterey Pines, Himalayan Cedars, Metasequoia Redwoods and other tall tree species gives Pirramimma a ‘temple-like’ feeling, that adds an ethereal timeless character to the garden.

In 2009 Andrew Morton of Earthscape Horticultural Services was commissioned to complete a comprehensive evaluation of all 512 trees, the garden sentinels of Pirramimma, to determine their height, spread, condition, health and contribution. This invaluable resource – to be passed to the next custodian of Pirramimma – is used to ensure best practice in conserving the trees of Pirramimma.
